The 100 Boots Poetry Series presents readings by a range of emerging and established writers from St. Louis and across the United States. 100 Boots is organized by Ted Mathys, poet and educator at Saint Louis University. Philip Matthews is a poet from eastern North Carolina. He is the author of Witch (Alice James Books, April 2020) and Wig Heavier than a Boot (Kris Graves Projects, October 2019).

Tongo Eisen-Martin was born in San Francisco. He is the author of someone’s dead already (Bootstrap Press, 2015), nominated for a California Book Award; and Heaven Is All Goodbyes (City Lights, 2017), which received a 2018 American Book Award, a 2018 California Book Award, and was named a 2018 National California Booksellers Association Poetry Book of the Year.
