New Music Circle and the Pulitzer Arts Foundation present a rare duo performance by guitarist Joe Morris and trumpeter, composer, and visual artist Wadada Leo Smith. Internationally celebrated for their contributions to avant-garde jazz and improvised music, Morris and Smith create spontaneous, real-time compositions through an open dialogue between trumpet and guitar. Their recent recording, Earth’s Frequencies (2024), reflects the improvisational approach that has defined their longstanding artistic collaboration.
