Focusing on the relationship between drawing and animation, Rough Cut: Independent Japanese Animation presents three short films created over the past century. Organized by Stephanie Weissberg, Assistant Curator at the Pulitzer, Rough Cut consists of work produced outside of mainstream commercial studios, tracing compelling innovations from early silent film to contemporary experimentation with collage and stop-motion.
