Following the opening of Barbara Chase-Riboud Monumentale: The Bronzes, Barbara Chase-Riboud and Dr. Richard Powell, Professor of Art & Art History at Duke University, will discuss the artist’s prolific career. Dr. Powell is a recognized authority on African American art and culture. Along with teaching courses, he has written extensively on topics ranging from primitivism to postmodernism and is a practicing visual artist and curator.
