Collaboratively organized with fort gondo compound for the arts, this special closing event addressed the “politics of joy” with readings by poets Cole Swensen, Aaron Kunin, and Ronaldo Wilson, who also screened video poems from his recent series AVATAR | DIASPORA. Left Bank Books, St. Louis’ premier independent bookstore, was on site selling books by the featured poets.

Visitors were invited to participate in an interactive zine-making activity led by Cole Lu, assistant director of fort gondo. Reappropriating material from contemporary art magazines, political writings, and poetry manifestos, the activity encouraged visitors to create their own self-published work.
