A Way, Away (Listen While I Say) artists Amanda Williams and Andres L. Hernandez discuss the built environment with Walter J. Hood, Professor of Landscape Architecture & Environmental Planning and Urban Design, University of California at Berkeley.
This program is a part of Critical Spatial Practices St. Louis (CSPSTL), a multi-platform convening that takes on the spatial politics of the city with local and international figures in art and architecture. CSPSTL constellates around a series of city-wide exhibitions addressing the entanglements between (sub)urbanism, landscape, and race. Critical Spatial Practices St. Louis is the second Summer City Seminar carried out through Washington University’s Divided City Initiative, a Mellon funded program linking architecture, urbanism, and the humanities. The Divided City is a collaborative effort of Washington University’s Center for the Humanities and the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts.
