As part of A Way, Away (Listen While I Say), four local partners were awarded community design grants to give new life to materials salvaged from the former building at 3721 Washington Boulevard. Projects range from hosting community workshops to creating gathering and performance spaces with the bricks. Join us for a conversation with the community partners: Perennial; Granite City Art and Design District & the New American Gardening initiative; Art House; and Solidarity Economy St. Louis network in partnership with Citizen Carpentry and Tillie’s Corner, as well as artists Amanda Williams and Andres L. Hernandez.
Building as Healing will take place on the A Way, Away site across from the Pulitzer. Blankets and lawn chairs for seating are welcome.
