East St. Louis Poet Laureate Eugene B. Redmond and poet and educator Treasure Shields Redmond will deliver collaborative performances and readings in response to Blue Black, curated by Glenn Ligon. The event will also feature a discussion of the many influences on their work, including Miles Davis, the 1917 East St. Louis riots, migration, and the South.
