In response to the radical process and artwork of Medardo Rosso, the Pulitzer has commissioned three internationally renowned artists—poet Mary Jo Bang; choreographer and media artist Jonah Bokaer; and visual artist Diana Al-Hadid—to reflect on his work, and how it relates to their own artistic practices. Bokaer’s response became its own artwork, IMMUNITY, which includes performer Wendell Gray II.

Jonah Bokaer is a choreographer and media artist whose works have been shown at the Guggenheim Museum, PS1 MoMA, The New Museum, MASS MoCA, IVAM Valencia, Palazzo Delle Arti Napoli, Kunsthalle St. Gallen, SCAD Museum of Art, Ludwig Museum of Budapest, MUDAM Luxembourg, along many others. Recent awards include the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship in Choreography (2015), and Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts (2014, 2013, 2012, 2011), and from the United States Artists a Ford Fellowship (2015), among many others.
