In collaboration with the National Arts Journalism Program (Columbia University School of Journalism), the Pulitzer hosted a symposium on the topic of arts and cultural news coverage. This unprecedented meeting of top-level executives from two dozen regional newspapers aimed to enhance the prospect of timely, accurate, and incisive cultural coverage relevant to readers. The discussions suggested new measures and resources from which editors and writers can draw in improving their papers’ cultural reporting and criticism.
