Engage in a wellness workshop exploring the relationship between bodies and objects. Led by the art collective useless initiatives, the Haptic Encounters workshops are inspired by Assembly Required artist Lygia Clark’s therapeutic work. Relational objects will be used to activate the full range of senses. Boundaries and consensual touch will be discussed before participants embark together on a sensory adventure. Children accompanied by adults are welcome.
useless initiatives is based in the Bay Area, CA, and is composed of artists Jillian Crochet, Beatriz Escobar, and River Black.
Participants in the workshop will be required to wear masks and provide.
-A photo ID, AND;
-A vaccination card with name that indicates full vaccination, OR
-A photo of a complete vaccination card with name, OR
-A negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours of program date, OR
-A negative antigen test taken within 24 hours of program date
