Karla Aguilar is the Associate Educator Guide Programs at the Saint Louis Art Museum, where she supervises a cohort of more than 60 volunteer guides. She has deep connections with the St. Louis art scene, as she has worked as a Museum Educator for the Kemper Art Museum and the Pulitzer Art Foundation. She has also curated six exhibitions at the Millstone Gallery in the Center of Creative Arts, where she promoted an inclusive agenda that highlighted themes of immigration and first-time exhibiting artists. Working with transdisciplinary teams, she has experience with projects such as Hostile Terrain 92 and the exhibit Moving Stories at The Luminary, where the art curation included research and community engagement elements. Karla received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies in 2024 from Washington University in St. Louis.
