This workshop explored the 750 maps that were collected during Monument Lab’s Public Iconographies residency at the Pulitzer in 2019 and how its corresponding dataset can be utilized to inform future monument related projects. The workshop was led by Monument Lab’s Laurie Allen and Allison Nkwocha and the St. Louis-based Public Iconographies residency research team of Liz Deichmann, arts administrator and researcher; Derek Laney, activist; and MK Stallings, poet and Founder of URB Arts.
