Inspired by the Pulitzer’s exhibition Donald Judd: The Multicolored Works, Fort Gondo Compound for the Arts collaborated on a workshop that invited artists to create Judd-inspired works from everyday materials. Participants attended a tour of the exhibition to learn more about Judd’s artistic process and fabrication methods with Tamara H. Schenkenberg, Associate Curator at Pulitzer Arts Foundation. Participants then applied their own perspective in a workshop at beverly, fort gondo’s project space on Cherokee Street. The artists created their own handmade objects crafted from found items and basic art supplies; these works were installed by Jessica Baran in an exhibition titled Learning from Donald Judd at beverly, which included twenty artists from the St. Louis area.
