The Colombian-born artist Doris Salcedo presented a lecture at Pulitzer Arts Foundation, during which she discussed the installation of her piece Atrabiliarios at the Pulitzer. The lecture coincided with the graduation of new docents from the Contemporary Art Partnership, which was a collaborative initiative of Pulitzer Arts Foundation, the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, and the Saint Louis Art Museum. The partnership aimed to present and interpret contemporary art and architecture to diverse groups through its docent program, which encouraged conversations and engaged the public in new ways of experiencing art.
