Barry Jenkins’s 2016 film Moonlight, winner of the 2017 Academy Award for Best Picture, is featured in the selections of Blue Black Library guest contributors Victoria Donaldson, Rebecca Wanzo, and exhibition curator Glenn Ligon. Moonlight is the tender, heartbreaking story of a young man’s struggle to find himself, told across three defining chapters in his life as he experiences the ecstasy, pain, and beauty of falling in love, while grappling with his own sexuality.

Join us after First Fridays in Grand Center for a special public screening of the film in our courtyard. Blankets for seating are welcome and snacks will be provided.

In the event of inclement weather the film screening will be canceled. Please check this page or social media for updates.
