Donald Judd’s creative uses of color inspired the self-guided, interactive pamphlet that led families through the exhibition. Using their math skills and powers of observation, children were encouraged to engage with and respond to Judd’s objects through activities including a scavenger hunt, a creative writing prompt, and a take-home science experiment with the color wheel. Kids received their pick of specially-designed, Judd-inspired buttons as a reward for completing any of the activities in the gallery.
