Chosen isolation is often necessary for creative work. At the same time, forced isolation can have damaging effects on democracy and individual well-being. Writers Paul Holdengräber, Madeleine Thien, and Samantha Hill will discuss the relationship between isolation and creation. How have our attitudes towards social isolation changed in the era of social distancing? What does it mean to be alone in the world today? This program is inspired by the current exhibition, Assembly Required.
