Letter from the Director Regarding COVID-19

Dear Pulitzer Arts Foundation Community,

With the recent developments concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Pulitzer Arts Foundation continues to take preventative measures out of concern for the safety and well-being of our community, including our visitors, collaborators, and staff.

The Pulitzer remains temporarily closed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and all public events have been postponed. We will continue to closely monitor the public health situation that is developing globally and in our community. Our website will stay up-to-date with postponements, as well as digital programs and resources that you can enjoy from home. Please contact the Visitor Experience team with any questions at info@pulitzerarts.org.

While COVID-19 continues to affect so much of our lives, the economic impact of the pandemic is hitting so many vulnerable populations, including many of those in the art, architecture, and design communities. To that end, the Pulitzer and the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis have created a new initiative—A Sustaining Arts Practice Fund—to award a total of $100,000 in grants to St. Louis area practitioners experiencing financial hardship. This effort is to help them continue their important work. Applications may be submitted online and are due by May 29, 2020.

In this challenging moment, we hope that you are staying safe and healthy. We’re grateful for your support and understanding, and look forward to welcoming you to the Pulitzer when we reopen.

Sincerely,

Cara Starke
Director
