Sound Waves
October 6, 2011 6:00-9:00pm
Tim Rakel, the host of 88.1 KDHX's Mystery Train and a member of St. Louis-based bands The Union Electric and The May Day Orchestra, will play recorded tracks from different Buddhist cultures. Countries represented will mirror those seen in Reflections of the Buddha, including India, Japan, Korea, Nepal, and Tibet.
Sound Waves is a collaboration between The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts and 88.1 KDHX. During this series of music events, 88.1 KDHX DJs and live performers create soundtracks to the Pulitzer's current exhibition. DJs curate playlists to fit a certain theme and complement the artworks on view within Tadao Ando's architecture.
Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided.
